Charge from home mains.
¾ Set the (A) (A1) switch to OFF, ensure that no appliances
are connected to the starter and that the emergency light
is switched off.
¾ Plug the power supply cable into the socket (N). The display
will alternately read 'CHG' and the charge percentage.
When the battery is charged, message 'FUL' will appear
on the display.
¾ Once the battery is charged, disconnect the power supply
cable from the socket.
Jump starting
Use the appliance only as an emergency starter
to support the vehicle battery. Do not use it alone
instead of the battery.
Avoid the formation of flames or sparks. To avoid sparks,
ensure that the terminals cannot detach from the battery
terminals during start-up.
Stay away from moving parts such as fans, transmission
belts and pulleys.
Stay away from hot parts, such as engine and cooling
system to avoid burns.
Avoids that the red and black clamps come into contact.
Accidental short circuits of the terminals caused by an
electrical conductor object for example a tool, a jewel, etc.
could generate enough heat to cause serious burns, electric
arc or cause incandescent metal splashes.
Never reverse the polarity of the positive '+' and negative
'-' terminals: risk of explosion.
Sequence of operations
The starter battery must be 90% / 100% charged.
Carefully follow the starting procedure, failure to
comply may affect the life of the appliance.
1
Make sure that the vehicle ignition key is in the OFF
position: all services turned off.
2
Make sure the booster switch is in the OFF position.
3
Connect red charging clamp (+) to battery positive
terminal and black charging clamp (-) to battery
negative terminal. If the battery is installed on a motor
vehicle, first connect the clamp to the battery terminal
that is not connected to the bodywork. Afterwards,
connect the second clamp to the bodywork at a point
far from both the battery and the petrol pipes.
In the event of polarity reversal, code 'Er1' is
displayed and the audible alarm is activated.
Disconnect the output cables and reconnect them
with the correct polarity.
5
Check the voltage of the vehicle battery. If other alarms
appear, read the 'Error and alarm signals' section.
Mod.1: Set switch (A) to the 12V position.
6
Mod.2:set the switch voltage (A1) 12/OFF/24
corresponding to the electrical system voltage of the
vehicle you wish to start.
7
Start the vehicle engine.

If the vehicle engine fails to start within 5 seconds,
turn the switch to the OFF position and allow the
starter to cool for 3 minutes before trying again. If
the engine fails to start with a second attempt, check
the vehicle battery and engine.
8
After starting, leave the engine running, turn the switch
to the OFF position and disconnect the starter.
9
Disconnect the cable with the clamps from the starter
and put everything into its box.
10 Recharge the starter after each use.

Use as a 12V memory saver
The starter can be used as a memory-saving power source
when replacing 12V vehicle batteries.
1
Set switch (A) to OFF.
2
Check that the vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket is
powered and perfectly clean.
3
Connect one end of a double male lighter plug cable
(not supplied) to the lighter socket on the starter (I) and
the other end to the vehicle's lighter socket.
4
Proceed to replace the vehicle battery.
5
Recharge the starter after each use.
L
To use the starter as a memory saver, an OBD connector
to male lighter plug cable can also be used. (Not supplied).
Checking the fuse
The booster is protected against reverse polarity, short
circuits and overloads by a 500 Amp fuse. To check the fuse,
switch on the booster and press the (E) button:
Green LED on: fuse OK.
LED off: change fuse.
