Key Mapping for Each System
When customizing your keyboard settings, ensure you are modifying the correct

layer based on your operating system. For example, when in Windows mode,
changes should be made to Layer 2, not Layer 0.
Common Mistake
Many users inadvertently make adjustments to the top layer (Layer 0) while in Windows mode. This
results in changes not being applied correctly. Always double-check the system toggle and layer
before proceeding with key remapping or macros.
10. Factory Reset & Firmware Update
If you encounter issues or want to restore your keyboard to its default settings, follow these
instructions for a factory reset or firmware update:
Factory Reset Your Keyboard

Ensure the keyboard is powered on.

Press and hold Fn + J + Z simultaneously for approximately 4 seconds.

The keyboard backlight will flash in red for 3 seconds, signaling that the reset has been
completed successfully.
Flash Your Keyboard Firmware

Visit launcher.keychron.com to access the online Launcher app.

Connect the keyboard to your computer using a USB cable. The Launcher app requires a
wired connection to detect and update the keyboard.

Navigate to the Firmware Update tab on the left-hand menu of the Launcher.

Follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the Launcher to complete the firmware
update process.
