4.1

Measuring range 0-20 N for gelatin capsules

Basic load by pick-up arm with additional weight
• Place the stilt (2.05) with the additional weight (2.04) on the pick-up arm (2.00).

Alignment and settings

• Switch on the electronic unit by pressing the power switch.
- The support table of the positioning device moves to the starting point for the measurement.
• Loosen the setscrew (4.08) with the hexagon socket wrench or the knurled nut (depending
on the variant).
• Place the template (4.11) on the support table of the positioning device and turn the
template to measuring point one (arrow symbol = measuring point 1 (4.10)).
• Tighten the setscrew (4.08) / knurled nut.
• Set the sample size using the setting gauges and fix it by turning the screw (4.09).
• Now remove the setting gauge and place the capsules in the capsule holders of the template.
• Use the knurled screw (4.06) to set the distance to the center of the capsule at measuring point 1.
• If the knurled screw is too short to measure in the center of the sample, use the adapter
supplied with the case of the positioning device.
Screw on the adapter and you have an extended knurled screw!
• Fix this setting with the counter screw (4.07).
