Refrigerant fluid R744 in the
IT
transcritical regime cycle
FR
The basic refrigeration cycle on R744 is
composed
by
DE
compression,
expansion (inverse principle of compression,
this transformation occurs in the electronic or
thermostatic valve before the evaporator) and
evaporation.
The transcritical cycle is called that way because
the transformation of condensation occurs
above the critical point. When this happens we
can no longer call it condensation but gas-
cooling.
Working above the critical point pressure and
temperature are no longer unequivocally
determined,
temperature
pressures. In this case, the temperature at the
gas-cooler outlet is measured through which it
is possible to find the pressure which optimises
system performance (operation carried out
constantly by the controller).
The MEDIUM and LOW TEMPERATURE utilities
are served by the same liquid receiver; the
compressors of the LOW TEMPERATURE utility
discharge in suction to those of the MEDIUM
TEMPERATURE utility, with the consequent
presence of a single gas cooler.

The R744 backup unit is suitable as an auxiliary
cooling unit for the refrigeration unit: it is
activated in the event of a system shutdown to
ensure pressure in the liquid receiver remains
or
constant.
It uses the R744 refrigerant contained in the
liquid receiver itself for cooling.
STRUCTURE the base is made of sheet metal
(3mm) and steel casing (1,5mm)
