Notes on the disposal of devices with electronic components
How to dispose batteries and general information on batteries
Devices containing a build-up of electronic components
may not be mixed with ordinary household waste after
use. For proper treatment, recovery and recycling, take
these products to the designated collection points, where
they can be collected without charges. The proper dispos-
al of this product at the relevant collection points contrib-
utes to protection of the environment and prevention of
potential adverse effects on humans and the environment
that may result from improper handling of waste.
Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of used bat-
teries according to local regulations and keep away from
children. Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash
or incinerate.
Always keep batteries away from children. Even used bat-
teries can cause serious injury or death. Contact a local
poison control center for treatment information. Non-
rechargeable batteries must not be recharged. Do not
forcibly discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above the
temperature specified by the manufacturer or incinerate.
Otherwise there is a risk of injury due to venting, leakage
or explosion, which can lead to chemical burns. Do not
mix old and new batteries, different brands or types of
batteries, such as alkaline, carbon-zinc or rechargeable
batteries.
Ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly accord-
ing to polarity (+ and -). Tighten the battery compartment
cover by turning it clockwise until resistance can be felt
through the sealing ring. Always secure the battery com-
partment completely. If the battery compartment is not
securely closed, stop using the product, remove the bat-
teries and keep them away from children.
