Problem
The appliance is
plugged in, the
power switch is in
the "ON" position,
the indicator lamp
is on, but the
appliance is not
heating.
The appliance is
plugged in, the

the heating
indicator is on, but
the temperature
cannot be adjusted
The appliance is
plugged in, the
power switch is in
the "ON" position,
the appliance is
heating, but the
heating indicator
does not come on
Possible cause
a) Temperature control
knob is inoperative.
b) Electric heater is
burnt.
c) No current and/or
blown fuse.
a) Temperature control
knob is inoperative.
a) Heating indicator is
malfunctioning
Solution
a) Replace the
temperature control
knob.
b) Replace the electric
heater (2 pcs. for
each set of plates).
c) Check the power
supply and the fuse -
if it is blown, replace
it.
a) Replace the
temperature control
knob.
a) Check and, if
necessary, replace the
heating indicator.
