INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
Readinstructionscarefullyand understandbeforeusing. Use
with care as this tool contains flammable butane gas under
pressure. Do not expose to fire, flame, or temperatures in excess
Of 1200F,(5000 e.g. back shelf Of car on sunny day, etc. Hold
away from body and face when lighting. Keep out of reach of
children.
SAFETY WARNING - PRESSURISED CONTAINER
• Donotexpose fuelreservoir ( tank)to temperatures i n excess of
1200F(5000
• Excessive g asflow, flaming,or catalyst p ulsingred,mayoccur
when the regulator is incorrectly adjusted (i.e. settoo high). It is
essential to ignite the tool with the tip pointing awayfrom face
and body.
• Do not use or ignite near combustible substances.
• The cap can be replaced when hot; however,care must betaken
to avoidtouchingthe capwith the tip whileslidinginto place,
otherwise damageto the cap will certainly occur.
• Becertain that flamesarecompletely o ut beforesettingthetool
down
FlameTip
Use low to medium settings. Flamemay "blow itself out" at high
gas flows. NOTE:Flame is difficult to see in certain lighting
situations.
TEMPERATURE A DJUSTMENT
Tip temperature and gas flow can be adjustedby turning the
temperature regulator button (filling end)within the HI/LOrange.
It is not necessary for the tip to glow bright red to achieve
satisfactory solderingtemperatures. E xperience w ill dictatethe
temperature setting required.
GASFILLING (Fig.B) Gasswitch must be in the OFF position
before filling
Adaptors are not normally required when refilling. To fill, hold
butane refill above tool, as fuel fill is dependent on gravity and
pressure. Keepcan and tool in truly vertical position during refill.
Do not refill at an angle. Stop filling when gas spills from valve.
The specialventing valve allows quick and easy charging.
TIPREPLACEMEN T (Fig.C)
Soldering, hot air, and Othertips are easily removedor installed,
by unscrewing the retaining collar and sliding the tip, collar, and
nut overthe ignitionassembly. Remove t he tip, andreplace with
new or alternate tip. Slide back into place and screw into
position. See Fig.Dfor tip list.
GAS TYPE
The tool operates on filtered butane gas, Weller Cat. No. WBI or
WB2. S ome gasshouldbevisiblethroughthetransparent s ection
within the temperature regulator button; gas vapor alone will not
generate sufficient pressure.
IGNITIONSEQUENCE (Fig. A)
The WLBU75 is ignited by a piezo electronic system. The Gas
On/Off switch is marked "GAS". The ignition switch is marked
with a"lightning strike" logo.
CAUTION: After usethe tip and retaining collar maystill behot.
Allow to cool sufficiently before touching.

button to max.setting. Turn gas on by pushing forward on switch.
Click back on piezo ignition switch, and allow the switch to
return. Glowing catalyst in the tip exhaust ports will confirm
operation.
CAUTION:Hot gases of 10760F+(5800C+) are emitted from the
tip exhaust ports. Do not leave the WLBU75 unattended. If
placingon surface,leaveportsfacingupwardsand restiron on
the cap as per Fig.E

TYPE DE GAZ
L'outil fonctionne avec du butane gazeux filtré, no de cat. Waller
WBI ou WB2. Le gaz devrait étre visible par la fenétre
transparente d u boutondu régulateur d etempérature; la vapeur
de gaz seule ne Peut pas générer une pression suffisante.
SÉQUENCE D'ALLUMAGE (Fig. A)
Le WLBU75 est allumé par un systome piézo•électronique.
L'interrupteurdu gaz est marqué"GAS"(GAZ). L 'interrupteur
d'allumage eStindiquéparun symbole "éclair".
ATTENTION: ApresIlutilisation,la pointeet le collet de retenue
peuvent encore étre chauds Attendez qu'ils soient suffisamment
refroidis avant d'y toucher.
POINTES SOUDER, AIR CHAUD ET
nstaller la pointe et le collet de retenue choisis. Tourner le
bouton du régulateur de température au réglage max. Allumer le
gaz en poussant sur Ilinterrupteur. Appuyer sur Ilinterrupteur
d'allumage piézo et laisser Ilinterrupteur revenir. Le catalyseur
qui brille en rouge dans les ports d•échappement de la pointe
confirmera le fonctionnement.
POINTE DE FLAMME
Utiliser un réglage faible ä moyen. La flamme peut "s'éteindre
d'elleméme"si le débit gazeuxest trop élevé.REMARQUE:
flamme est difficile voir dans certaines conditions d•éclairage.
RÉGLAGE DETEMPÉRATURE
Latempérature de la pointe et le débit gazeuxpeuvent étre réglés
en tournant le bouton du régulateur de température (extrémité de
remplissage) l'intérieurde la plageHI/LO (HAUT/BAS). II Nest
pas nécessaireque la pointe devienne rouge brillant pour que la
température soit suffisante pour souder. ll.expérience dictera le
réglage de température nécessaire.
REMPLISSAGE DEGAZ(Fig.B) s•assurerque Vinterrupteurde
gaz Soit ra position "OFF" (FERME) avant de remplir re
réservoir.
Lesadaptateurs ne sont pas nécessairesnormalement pendant le
remplissage. Pour remplir, tenir la cartouche de butane de
recharge au dessus de l'outil, car le carburant se remplit par
gravitéet par pression. G arderla cartouche et l'outil dansune
position parfaitement verticale pendant le remplissage. Ne pas
recharger angle. Arréter de remplir dés que le gaz sort de la
soupape. Lasoupape de ventilation spéciale permetune recharge
rapide et facile.
REMPLACEMENT DELAPOINTE ( Fig.O
Les pointes souder, air chaud ou autres pointes Sont
facilement démontées ou installées, en desserrant le collet de
retenue et en glissant la pointe, le collet et l•écrou sur
llassemblage d'allumage.
Démonter la pointe et la remplacer avec une nouvelle ou une
pointe différente. Glisser en place et visser en position. Voir la
liste des pointes å la Fig-D.
ATTENTION: Desgazchauds de+ 5800C (+ 107609sontémispar
les ports d'échappement de la pointe. Ne laissez pas le WLBU75
