Soup

Yogurt
Yogurt starter
1. You can use 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 ml (2 tablespoons):
1) Original active yogurt - must be fresh (has a long shelf life).
• Different yogurt brands will have different results.
2) Yogurt you made earlier.
• Bacterial activity will diminish over time, so you can only do this 10 times, and then you must
use a new starter.
3) Freeze-dried yoghurt starter purchased from a pharmacy or health food store
• If the instructions on the starter package differ from this guide, follow the instructions on the
package.
Milk
2. You need 1 liter of milk.
3. The yogurt made from whole milk is thicker than that made from low fat milk.
4. To make the yogurt thicker, add 8 tablespoons of milk powder to the liquid milk.
5. You can also use reduced milk powder or canned dehydrated milk.
Making yogurt
6. You need to kill the bacteria in the milk to prevent it from competing with the bacteria in the
yogurt starter.
7. Allow the yogurt starter to reach room temperature while you are heating the milk.
8. Open the lid.
9. Heat the milk to near boiling with the stew (Frying/Saute /Soften/Boil) program.
10. Heat the milk until the edges begin to bubble.
11. Allow the milk to cool down to 37°C~45°C.
