INTENDED USE
The IS-RSM3A.1/IS-RSM3B.1 is a Remote Speaker Microphone for industrial use in
explosion hazardous areas of Zone 1/21 and 2/22, in accordance with Directives 2014/34/EU,
1999/92/EC and the IECEx system, among others.
The IS-RSM3A.1 is a wired Remote Speaker Microphone for connection to approved
i.safe MOBILE GmbH devices with a 16-pin ISM interface.
The IS-RSM3B.1 is a Bluetooth® Remote Speaker Microphone for connecting to any
Bluetooth device.
Only use the device as described in this Operating Manual. Any other use is considered impro-
per and can lead to death, severe injuries and damage to the device.
The manufacturer i.safe MOBILE GmbH does not assume any liability for damage caused by
improper use. The warranty expires in the event of improper use.
USER
Only trained users who are qualified in the use of Ex devices in explosion hazardous areas and
who have read and understood this Operating Manual may use this device.

This device is a low-power radio transmitter and receiver. As recommended by international
guidelines, the device meets applicable national SAR limits of 2.0 W/kg (10 g). 10 g SAR: meets
low-power exclusion level, SAR test is not required.
