Notice to the user and/or patient: any serious incident that has occurred in relation to the device must be
reported to the manufacturer and to the competent authority of the Member State where the user and/or
patient is established.
This wheelchair is designed for frequent or occasional use by a single occupant weighing up to 110 kg
and can be used indoors and outdoors. The OBELISCO wheelchair can be manually moved forwards and
backwards.
1. INDICATIONS
The wheelchair is used as a mobility tool for disabled people, elderly people and patients.
2. FOLDING AND UNFOLDING THE WHEELCHAIR
To fold the wheelchair, simply lift the centre edge of the seat upholstery from below. To unfold, tilt it slightly
to one side to lift the wheels off the floor. Then press down on one or both seat rails. Before folding the
chair, completely remove the footrests or make sure they are fixed and in an upright position.

3. LOCKING THE WHEELS
Push the wheel locks forward until they engage in the locked position. Do not attempt to sit down or stand
up without having activated the brakes. Always apply both brakes simultaneously.
4. ADJUSTING THE LENGTH OF THE FOOTRESTS
The position of the footrests (standard - flat - or elevated) can be adjusted to suit the length of the user's
legs. The footrest must be adjusted to support the weight of the thighs. If the footrest adjustment is too
long, the thighs will be pressed under the front of the seat upholstery. If the footrest adjustment is too
short, the user's knees will rise and the buttocks will have to bear excessive weight. Both situations lead
to an increased risk of bedsores. The user's knees and hips should be at approximately the same level. The
lower edge of the footrest should be at least 7 cm above the floor to allow sufficient clearance when going
