There is distortion:
• The amplifier input receives an excessive signal.
• The volume is set too high, the speakers distort.
• The sound controllers for bass and treble are turned up too far.
• The control source is a high-level device and has been connected to the phono input of the amplifier
incorrectly.
Playback has no bass share:
• One speaker is connected the wrong way.
• The BASS controller (15) on the amplifier is set to minimum.
Playback has no treble share:
• The TREBLE controller (14) on the amplifier is set to minimum.
Repairs other than those described above must only be carried out by an authorised specialist.
