2.4.1 Einstellen der Ausgangsspannung
Kalibrierungsregler "cal (EMK)" (Pos. 2) so
einstellen, daB der Zeiger des Instrumentes
etwa in der Mitte auf der EMK-Markierung
steht.
(Eine Abweichung von ca. + 5 mm von der
EMkK-Markierung verursacht ungefahr eine
Spannungsabweichung von + 2dB (~ 420%),
so daB der Zeiger bei den meisten Anwen-
dungsfallen nicht unbedingt exakt auf dem
Eichstrich stehen muB).
Eine Kalibrierung der Ausgangsspannung wird
nur bei unmoduliertem Sender vorgenommen.
Die GréBe der Ausgangsspannung kann mit
dem Abschwacher (Pos. 6) eingestellt werden.
2.4.2 Frequenzwahl
Frequenzbereich wahlen.
Dabei ist zu beachten, daB die Skalenwerte
der mit * gekennzeichneten Bereiche mit dem
Faktor 10 zu multiplizieren sind.
Die Zuordnung der Skalen ist wie folgt:

2.4.3 Modulation
Mit dem Schalter (Pos. 7) gewiinschte Be-
triebsart wahlen.
Folgende Betriebsarten sind méglich:
unmoduliert
AM-intern:
AM-Modulation ist in allen Frequenzberei-
chen midglich.
AM-extern:
Der Sender ist mit einem am Modulationsein-
gang (Pos. 4) eingespeisten Signal extern
AM- modulierbar. Mit dem Modulationsregler
kann. die Modulationstiefe ebenfalls konti-
nuierlich eingestellt werden.
FM-intern:
In den Frequenzbereichen SW 3*, ZF/UKW
und UKW ist der Sender mit dem 1 kHz-Signal
FM-modulierbar.
Der Frequenzhub wird mit dem Modulations-
regler (Pos. 7) eingestellt.

2.4.1 Adjustment of output voltage
Calibration control "cal EMK" (pos. 2) must
be so adjusted, that the pointer of the indica-
tor meter is approx. in the middle of the EMK
marked scale. (A variation of approx. + 5mm
on the EMK scale represents about a + 2 dB
(~ + 20%) voltage variation, so in most
cases it is not necessary for the pointer to be
exactly on the calibration mark)
Calibration of the output voltage should only
be undertaken with an unmodulated generator.
The value of the output voltage can be set
with the attenuator (pos. 6)
2.4.2 Frequency selection
Select the frequency range required.
Note that the scale values of ranges marked
with a * must be multiplied by a factor of 10.
The layout of the scale is as follows:

2.4.3 Modulation ;
Select the desired operating mode with the
switch (pos. 7).
The following operating modes are possible:
unmodulated
AN-internal:
_ AM modulation with the built in 1 kHz sinus
generator. The modulation depth is continu-
ously adjustable with the modulation control
(pos. 7). AM modulation is possible in all
ranges.
AM-external:
The generator can be modulated by an exter-
nal AM signal fed into the modulation input
(pos. 4). The depth of modulation can still be
continuously adjusted with the modulation
control.
FM-internal:
In the frequency ranges SW 3*, IF/FM and FM,
the generator is modulated with the kHz sig-
nal.
Frequency deviation is set with the modula-
tion control (pos. 7).
