DESCALING
1. To ensure your unit can operate efficiently, internal piping is clean and the peak flavor of
coffee, you should clean away the mineral deposits left regularly every 1-2 months and
whenever you notice the build-up of scale, even if you use filtered water or a water
conditioning station.
2. Fill the tank with water and descaler to the MAX level (the proportion of water and descaler
is 4:1, details refers to the instruction of descaler). Please use "household descaler", you can
use the citric acid instead of the descaler (one hundred parts of water and three parts of citric
acid). Fill the milk tank with water to the MAX level.
3. Insert the porta-filter (with filter and no coffee) and place regular cup on the drip tray.
4. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet and press On/Off switch.
5. Once the 3 control panel lights turn solid, press the first button twice. The descaler will start
flowing through the unit and it will stop automatically.
6. Place a pitcher or large cup (at least 325 ml) under the tube. Fill the milk reservoir with cold
water, place it back on the unit and turn the froth control knob to the maximum position.
7. Press the third button 3 times to activate the clean function. Let the unit dispense the water
through the tube for approximately 30 seconds and then press the third button once to stop
the process.
Repeat steps 5-7 at least 3 times.
Then clean thoroughly water reservoir and milk reservoir, fill them with fresh water and make
steps 1-7 again, to rinse the descaler out of the machine.
