➢ Power the unit using the provided power supply. Make sure that the socket is compliant with the current safety
norms
➢ Lift the stirring rods to place the beakers containing the sample. Once the beakers are positioned, adjust the stirring
rods to the correct height
3. Operation
•
Power-up
➢ Turn the unit on using the main switch (1)
➢ The display shows the software version
➢ The speed LED display (B) shows the speed setpoint. The instrument starts to work and reaches the setpoint

Stirring
➢ Using the speed setting buttons (A), it is possible to set the desired speed in the range OFF / 10 ÷ 300rpm. The
progression speed is increased by holding down one of the two buttons, to reach the desired value more quickly
➢ The real speed increases/decreases until setpoint achievement
➢ A microprocessor ensures constant speed even if the viscosity changes (SpeedServo)

Timer
➢ Click the SET button (E). "tIM" appears on the timer LED display (D) and the motor stops rotating. The speed
setpoint on the speed LED display (B) starts blinking. To exit timer mode, press the SET button (E) again. When the
timer is not active, the timer LED display (D) shows "..." to indicate that the instrument is operating in continuous
mode
➢ Using the timer setting buttons (C), it is possible to set the desired time value. The progression speed is increased
by holding down one of the two buttons, to reach the desired value more quickly
➢ Press the SET button (E) to start the timer. The instrument reaches the speed setpoint and the timer LED display
(D) shows the countdown. To exit timer mode during the countdown, keep pressing the SET button (E) for 3
seconds. The instrument disables the timer and works in continuous mode
➢ During the countdown, it is always possible to change the speed and timer values using the appropriate buttons
➢ When the countdown finishes, the motor stops rotating and an acoustic signal indicates the end of the stirring
process

Timer modality
➢ The timer can operate with two different scales: minutes and hours
➢ Click the SET button (E). "tIM" appears on the display (minutes time base). Using the timer setting buttons (C), it is
possible to set the time value in minutes of work.
➢ By holding down the SET button (E) for 2 seconds, "t.IM" appears on the display indicating that the timer base is
now hours. Using the timer setting button (C), it is now possible to set the time value in hours of work.
By holding down the SET button (E) for 2 seconds again, the timer scale returns to minutes.
➢ The timer range in the two scales is:
"tIM": from 1 to 999 minutes

"t.IM": from 1 to 99 hours

4. Error and warning messages
When the display shows an error message, the instrument functions automatically stop.
The motor doesn't start or not reach the set speed

To remove the error message, restart the instrument from the main switch.
If the alarm persists on the display, please contact VELP Scientifica's technical service department.
5. Maintenance
No routine or extraordinary maintenance is necessary for the unit.
Cleaning
Disconnect the unit from the power supply and use a cloth dampened with a non-flammable non-aggressive detergent.
During cleaning operations, prevent water and humidity residues from entering the unit.
Repair
Repairs must be carried out by authorized Velp personnel only.
