To remove the grill grate or grill plate from the appliance, hold the two metal handles

Tips
• Take care not to transfer germs from raw meat to cooked meat. Use separate utensils
and platters for raw and cooked meat.
• Always marinade in a tightly covered non-metal dish, turning the food occasionally.
Make sure the meat remains refrigerated while marinating.
• If leftover marinade is to be used as a sauce with the cooked food, be sure to place it
in a small pot, and bring to a boil before serving.
• As with a frying pan on a stove, very fatty foods such as bacon or sausage can
splatter grease onto the countertop. Protect the worktop if necessary.
• For better results, partially cook chicken with bones, ribs, and uncooked smoked or
fresh sausages before grilling. If not partially pre-cooked, these meats can become
overly browned on the outside before they are cooked through in the middle.
• To keep food warm, set the temperature to between 95°C and 120°C.
• Only use non-metallic utensils to avoid scratching the coating. Do not cut food on the
griddle with sharp utensils such as knives or forks, as this can scratch the cooking
surface.
• Do not use steel wool or other metal pads. These could leave coarse scratches.
Always rinse thoroughly and dry immediately with a soft towel .
