carry out any cleaning or maintenance

∙ The appliance and its power cord must
be kept well away from children under
8 at all times.
∙ Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away
from children – such materials are a potential source of
danger, e.g. of suffocation.
∙ Do not allow the power cord to touch any hot part of the
appliance.
∙ Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use.
∙ Before each use, place the grill plate on the appliance
over the heating element.
∙ Do not use or store the appliance outdoors!
∙ Always remove the plug from the wall socket
- after use,
- in case of any malfunction, and
- before cleaning the appliance.
∙ When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull
on the power cord; always grip the plug itself.
∙ Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
∙ This appliance should only be used with the attachments
provided by the manufacturer.
∙ Avoid using sharp objects when placing or removing
food to prevent scratching the surface of the mini-pans
and grill plate.

∙ No responsibility will be accepted if damage results from
improper use, or if these instructions are not complied
with.
Intended Use
∙ The appliance is intended solely for grilling and
gratinating food such as meat, fish, vegetables, cheese,
etc.
∙ Only use the appliance with the accessories provided.
∙ Any other use contrary to the instructions shall be
deemed improper and may result in severe injury or
damage to the appliance.
Before first use
∙ Completely remove all advertising stickers, remaining
packaging materials and inserts.
Never remove the nameplate!
∙ Before first use, wipe the grill plate and mini-pans with
a damp cloth.
∙ Leave the appliance with the grill plate and mini-pans
in place to heat up for about 10 minutes without food
to allow any unpleasant odour to dissipate (you may
notice slight smoke coming from the appliance). You
may notice a slight odour, which will disappear shortly.
Ensure adequate ventilation by opening windows and
balcony doors.
∙ Then, clean the appliance and all accessories, as
described under "Cleaning and Care".
Grill plate
∙ Before using the appliance, place the grill plate on the
heating element with the coated side facing upwards.
∙ Apply a light coat of oil to the grill plate first to prevent
the food from sticking.
Temperature control and indicator light
∙ The variable thermostat controls the operating time
of the heating element, with the yellow indicator light
showing its current operating status.
Heating element on = indicator light on
Heating element off = indicator light off
∙ When melting cheese or grilling, the maximum setting
should be used (thermostat control all the way to the
right).
∙ Simply to keep food warm, the thermostat should be
adjusted to a lower setting (thermostat control further to
the left).
∙ Turn the thermostat all the way to the left and unplug the
appliance from the mains after use.
