Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to various types of commercial
solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean
cloths to remove dirt, carbon dust, etc.
WARNING
Do not at any time let brake fl uids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc. come in contact
with plastic parts. They contain chemicals that can
damage, weaken or destroy plastic.
Electric tools used on fi berglass material, wallboard,
spackling compounds, or plaster are subject to accelerated
wear and possible premature failure because the fi berglass
chips and grindings are highly abrasive to bearings, brushes
and commutators. The manufacturer does not recommend
the use of the product for extended periods of time on these
types of materials.
After each use, remove the belt and dust collector if fi tted.
Clean the dust collector as shown in the illustrations in this
manual. Clean the tool thoroughly with a brush, dry cloth
and vacuum cleaner.
WARNING
Do not use compressed air to blow dust from the product
to prevent serious eye injury.
For greater safety and reliability, all repairs should be
performed by an authorised RYOBI service centre.
All of the bearings in this tool are lubricated with a suffi cient
amount of high grade lubricant for the life of the unit
under normal operating conditions. Therefore, no further
lubrication is required.

Do not dispose of waste batteries, waste
electrical and electronic equipment
as unsorted municipal waste. Waste
batteries and waste electrical and
electronic equipment must be collected
separately. Waste batteries, waste
accumulators, and light sources have to
be removed from the equipment. Check
with your local authority or retailer for
recycling advice and collection point.
According to local regulations, retailers
may have an obligation to take back
waste batteries and waste electrical and
electronic equipment free of charge.
Your contribution to the reuse and
recycling of waste batteries and waste
electrical and electronic equipment
helps to reduce the demand of raw
materials. Waste batteries, in particular
containing lithium, and waste electrical
and electronic equipment contain
valuable and recyclable materials, which
can adversely impact the environment
and the human health if not disposed
of in an environmentally compatible
manner. Delete personal data from waste
equipment, if any.
