Dry-boil cut-out
Your kettle is equipped with a boil-dry cut-out, which will switch off the kettle
automatically, should it accidentally be operated without water or by not observing
the Minimum water level. In the event of such a safety cut-out unplug the appliance
immediately and let it cool down for approx. 10 minutes. Afterwards, your kettle is
ready for use again.
Cleaning and Care
Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the
mains and let it completely cool down.
Never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock!
Clean the body of the appliance with a moistened soft cloth.
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents and/or other hard objects to clean the
appliance.
Open the lid (2) and remove the filter. Clean it under running tap water, if necessary,
with a soft nylon brush. Dry it afterwards and reinsert the filter into the spout.
DESCALING
Descale your appliance in regular intervals (approx. every 3 - 6 months), depending on
the frequency of use and the local water quality.
Never use any sharp, pointed or metal objects to remove limescale built up in the
kettle.
To remove limescale, use a common gentle descaler, which is suitable for your
appliance.
After descaling, always boil 4-5 kettles of water, which you do not use but pour away.
Use fresh water with each boiling cycle. This procedure is necessary to remove any
descaler residues in the kettle.
Note: Descaler mixtures should not be poured down enamel coated sinks.
Storage
After use and after the appliance has completely cooled down wind the power cable
(8) around the cord storage (10).
Keep it away from children and store it in a clean and dry place.
