Have it checked and, if necessary, repaired by a qualified person/Customer Service.
Never attempt to make any modifications to or repair the appliance yourself.
• Only use accessories evaluated for use with this appliance.
• Never attempt to drive any objects into the appliance.
• Never attempt to open the housing yourself!
• The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote-control system.

Special Safety Instructions

Warning! To avoid the possibility of injury/damage to the appliance, electric
shock, and risk of burns.
• Your kettle is only intended for boiling water. Never attempt to heat any other
liquids in it.
• Place the appliance on a even and heat-resistant surface.
• Do not place the kettle near any inflammable objects.
• Never exceed the maximum filling level (1.7L) to avoid any boiling water from spilling
from the kettle. Danger of serious burns!
• Never open the lid during operation.
• Always remove the kettle from the power base when filling it with water.
• To prevent the kettle from boiling dry, make sure the water level is never below
minimum filling (0.5 L).
• The automatic switch-off function will automatically switch off the appliance as soon
as the boiling temperature has been reached, provided that you have thoroughly
closed the lid. Otherwise boiling water could spill.
• Your kettle also features a boil-dry cut-out, which will switch off the kettle, should
it accidentally be operated without water. In the event of such a safety cut-out
unplug the appliance immediately and let it cool down for approx. 10 minutes.
Afterwards, your kettle is ready for use again.
• Only use the appliance with the base provided.

Before First Use

• Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete.
• Fully unwind the power cord and make sure that the power cord underneath the
appliance is clamped in the cable guide (9).
