Read through these operating instructions carefully prior to operating the chocolate fountain for the first time and
pay particular attention, in your own interest, to the safety advice in order to avoid accidents and malfunctions.
Safety can be impaired through incorrect use, or through inadequate cleaning and care. This can result in serious
danger to the user. cilio cannot accept any responsibility for injuries or damage that can be attributed to
mproper use.
Safety advice
· Should this appliance be passed on to other people, make sure that these operating instructions are handed to
them along with it.
· No liability can be accepted for any damage or losses that may arise in the event of improper use or incorrect
handling. This appliance is only intended for domestic use. Do not use the appliance outside.
· Check whether the type of current and the mains voltage comply with the information on the rating label.
· Do not touch the chocolate fountain or the mains plug with wet or damp hands.
· Connect the device to a properly installed power socket only. Do not use any multiple socket that is already
being used to run other appliances. The plug and cord must be dry.
· Use the chocolate fountain under supervision only and use it solely for the purpose intended.
· This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the
appliance and its cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years.
· Children shall not play with this appliance.
· Do not at all operate this unit with an external timer or a separate telecontrol system.
· Only place the chocolate fountain on non-flammable, flat and stable surfaces and not near hot stove tops, gas
flames or other sources of heat. Ensure sufficient free space above and near the appliance to avoid
overheating. Protect sensitive surfaces from splashes that may occur.
· Make sure that the chocolate fountain is assembled correctly before using it.
· Do not carry or move the appliance as long as it is in operation or still hot.
· Do not touch the worm screw or other moving parts while the appliance is in operation.
· Use melted chocolate, liquid cheese or curry sauce without pieces only, as otherwise the worm screw could be
blocked.
· Remove the mains plug every time after use, and also:
- in the event of malfunctions whilst in operation
- every time that it is being cleaned
Do not pull on the connecting lead, but on the plug itself.
· Do not allow the power cord to dangle and place the device in a way that no one can fall over the cord.
· Never immerse the appliance, the cable or the plug in water or other liquids. Do not clean it in the dishwasher.
