2. Locate inlet port on the dust separator.
3. Insert one end of the 48mm x 2.1m hose into the
inlet port.
4. Plug the power cord of the vacuum into an
appropriate outlet.
5. Press the switch on the vacuum to the "ON"
position.
EMPTY THE TANK (Fig. E)
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury from
accidental starting, unplug power cord before
emptying the dust tank.
1. Remove the dust separator assembly of dust tank
by pulling outward on the lid clips located on each
side of the dust tank. Lift off the dust separator
assembly.
2. Dump the tank contents into the proper waste
disposal container.
CLEANING
To keep the tank looking its best, clean the
outside with a cloth dampened with warm water
and mild soap.
To clean the tank:
1. Dump out debris.
2. Wash tank thoroughly with warm water and
mild soap.
3. Wipe with dry cloth.
STORAGE (Fig. F)
Before storing the tank, the dust tank should
be emptied and cleaned. The hose may be
wrapped around the lid.

SOLUTION
clogged or there is a
blockage in the house. First,
turn off the vacuum and
D WALT Dust Separator. Next,

remove any blockages from
the hose.
This is typically the result of
an air leak. lf there is an air
leak between the drum lid
and drum, reattach the lid
there are no air leaks. lf the
drum lid is broken, replace
or repair the lid. If there is a
leak or hole in thedrum itself,
replace or repair the drum.
Even small air leaks will
impact the D WALT Dust

Separator's performance.
lf the dust is not settling,
temporarily turn off the
materials to drop into the
drum. If this does not solve
the issue, check for an air
leak in the drum lid or drum,
as outlined above.
