Activating/deactivating the handset Function-LED
• Press the function key on the drive briefly 2x. The LED

on the function key switches on and the drive enters
programming mode for around 10 s.
• Press keys 1 and 2 on the handset simultaneously and keep them
pressed until the LED goes out and the function LED is lit steadily (activa-
tion time approx. 10 s).
The programming process on the handset is now complete. The first move-
ment can now be executed by pressing a key. If the programming process
for the radio transmitter fails or it is necessary to decommission the trans-
mitter, you can interrupt communication between the transmitter and the
drive as follows:
• Press the function key on the drive 4x in quick succession. The underbed
lighting is switched on.
• Now press the function key 1x. The underbed lighting goes out and the
transmitter is deactivated.
Storing a memory function
Move the bed to the desired position using keys 1 – 10.
• Press programming key 15 3x in quick succession – the function LED is lit
steadily.
• Press a position key (keys 11 – 14) within approx. 3 s and wait until the
function LED stops flashing.
• The desired position is now stored on the position key selected.
• A stored memory position can be overwritten at any time by repeating
this process.

tion (e.g. flat batteries).
• The motor can be powered for a short time by means of two 9V block
batteries. In order to prevent the batteries from early discharge, the block
batteries are not connected in the factory.
• The drives can be moved to the basic position by pressing the function
key –.
The batteries should only be connected to lower the bed when necessary.
The drive movement can only be executed once. After this, the batteries
must be replaced in order to ensure that another emergency reset opera-
tion can be carried out.

bed dealer or Bico's after-sales service!
Problem Solution
LED in the handset flashes 5x – Change the batteries.
– Check that batteries are poled correctly.
– Change the batteries.
– Check the mains connection of the drive,
if necessary restore it.
LED in the handset does not light up
– Check whether the transmitter has
undergone the programming procedure.
If this is the case, then the control system
is defective.
– Reduce the distance to the drive system
(receiver).
– Ensure that no other transmitter is opera-
ted simultaneously, e.g. garage door
opener, car key etc.
Receiver does not respond
– Check whether the transmitter has
under gone the programming procedure.
– Check the mains power and if necessary,
restore it.
– Repeat the programming procedure.
Despite programming, no function
– Contact your dealer.
Torch or keypad lighting does not – Battery power too low, replace the
light up batteries.
– Repeat the programming procedure
Several receivers react simultaneously
for the transmitter.
