3. Inappropriate use
• The carrying capacity (WLL) must not be exceeded.
• Using the running gear to transport people is
forbidden (Fig. 2).
• Welding work on the running gear is forbidden
(Fig. 3).
• Avoid parallel shear pull, i.e. lateral loading on the
cross bar and side plates (Fig. 4). Always lift in a
straight line between the cross bar suspension point
and the load attachment point.
• Incorrect attachment or loading of the cross bar with
the horizontal section is not permitted (Fig. 5).
• Do not allow the hoist to drop from a great height.
The equipment should always be properly laid on the
floor.
• Increasing the setting of the running gear width, for
example to go round a bigger curve radius, is not
permissible.
• The device is approved for manual operation.
Drive from a machine is forbidden.
• Never use the device upside down (wheels pointing
downwards).
• The device must not be used in an atmosphere that
could explode.
4. Installation instructions
1. Screw the cross bar (Fig. 7) with the right-hand
thread side about 3 mm into the side plate marked
with „S".
2. Similarly, screw the second side plate onto the other
end of the cross bar, also 3 mm.
3. Screw the cross bar clockwise further into the side
plates until the ends are visible on the outer sides of
the side plates.
4. Further rotation of the cross bar gives a coarse
adjustment for the desired range of beams.
5. Lift the running gear onto the beam so that the
wheels lie on the lower flange of the beam.
6. Rotate the cross bar again to set the correct spacing
„A" between the wheels and the beam flange
(Table 1, Fig. 6).
Caution: For the largest beam width the cross bar must
end at least flush with both side plates.
Caution: To ensure safe and low-friction travel, the eye
of the cross bar must always be exactly centred
between the side plates.
