∙ Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away
from children – such materials are a potential source of
danger, e.g. of suffocation.
∙ Every time the appliance is used, the main body
including the power cord as well as any attachment fitted
should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should
the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto
a hard surface, or if excessive force has been used to
pull the power cord, it must no longer be used: even
invisible damage may have adverse effects on the
operational safety of the appliance.
∙ Do not allow the power cord to touch any hot part of the
appliance.
∙ Caution: Danger of burns. The housing surfaces, grill
areas and mini-pans become hot during use and will
remain hot for some time afterwards.
∙ Do not leave the appliance unattended while in use.
∙ During operation, the appliance must be placed on
a heat-resistant surface, impervious to splashes and
stains. When cooking food with a high fat or moisture
content, splashes are not always avoidable.
∙ Do not position the grill next to a wall or corner, and
ensure that no inflammable materials are stored near it.
∙ Never place the appliance on hot surfaces, e.g. hobs or
similar, or near open gas flames.
∙ Make sure to place the grill plate on the appliance over
the heating element before each use.
∙ The appliance must not be used or stored outdoors!
∙ Always remove the plug from the wall socket
- after use,
- in case of any malfunction, and
- before cleaning the appliance.
∙ When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull
on the power cord; always grip the plug itself.
∙ This appliance should only be used with the attachments
provided by the manufacturer.
∙ Always allow sufficient time for the appliance to cool
down before removing the grill plate, and before
cleaning or storing the unit.
∙ No responsibility will be accepted if damage results from
improper use, or if these instructions are not complied
with.
Application
∙ The electric raclette grill is designed for low-fat grilling of
meat, fish or vegetables and for gratinating cheese.

deemed improper and may result in severe injury or
damage to the appliance.

∙ Before switching on the appliance for the first time, clean
the grill plate and mini-pans with a damp cloth.
∙ Leave the appliance and mini-pans (without spatula)
in place to heat up for about 30 minutes without food
to allow any unpleasant odour to dissipate (you may

adequate ventilation by opening windows or balcony
doors.
∙ Let the grill cool down again.
∙ Clean it as described in the section 'Cleaning and care'.
Grill plate
∙ Before using the appliance, place the grill plate on the
appliance over the heating elements with the ribbed

∙ Unused mini-pans can be placed on the parking level
at the bottom of the appliance. Do not place the empty

∙ The spatulas can be stored on the mini-pan handle after

them into the appliance under the heating element; then
leave them until the cheese has melted.
∙ When you have finished cooking, switch off the
appliance and pull out the power plug.
