Cleaning and care
Your hand blender should be cleaned and
dried after each use as follows. Lack of
or improper care of the device can affect
your Sam Hand Blender's functionality.
• Always disconnect the hand blender's
power plug before cleaning.
• Engine part, power cable and power
plug must not get wet. Clean the
engine housing with a slightly damp
cloth.
• The jug, whisk, beaters, and dough
hooks as well as the chopping jug can
all be cleaned in the dishwasher. Please
clean the remaining parts by hand as
they are not suitable for washing in the
dishwasher.
• Of the food processor accessories,
the jug, blades, and dicing and julienne
cutting inserts can be washed in the
dishwasher. Wash all other parts by
hand.

• Clean all plastic parts on the top shelf
of a dishwasher and use a programme
with at most 60 °C to keep them from
losing their shape. Make sure that the
plastic part is not jammed.
• If you process food colouring or
strongly colouring food with your Sam
Hand Blender, attachments or engine
housings may discolour. After use,
wipe the device with a cloth moistened
with vegetable oil to remove the
colour. Clean it as described above.
• If you use the chopper to process
exceedingly salty foods, be sure to
rinse the blade immediately after use.
• Make sure to always clean all parts
thoroughly with hot water and
washing-up liquid that come in contact
with food.
