Notes and tips:
It is recommended to iron at a lower temperature initially and only increase the temperature if
–
necessary.
Separate the laundry according to the ironing temperature required. Start with the items that
–
require a low ironing temperature. For more details, see the table below.
For sensitive fabrics, test a small area first, perhaps on the inside or back.
–
When you change the temperature, always wait a few minutes before ironing. The appliance
–
needs this time to regulate the temperature, whether increasing or decreasing.
Use an ironing cloth for delicate fabrics.
–
Materials such as silk and wool, as well as accessories such as gloves, handbags, etc., will look
–
like new if you spray them with steam from a distance of around 20 cm. Do not place the iron
directly on these materials.
Marks in carpets caused by furniture or similar can be removed by treating the affected area
–
with steam and then brushing the carpet lightly. Please note that you should not treat carpets
made of synthetic fibers with steam for too long.
Do not iron over zippers, hooks, rings, etc. as this could scratch the ironing surface.
–
Self-cleaning function:
It is important to perform the self-cleaning function at least every 2 months (depending on how
often you iron) to remove impurities. The harder the water you use, the more often you should clean
it.
Fill water into the water tank as described previously.
–
Insert the power plug into a power outlet.
–
Place the device upright and turn the thermostat control to the "MAX" position.
–
Heat up the device until the power indicator light goes out.
–
Wait another cycle until the device has heated up again and the power indicator light goes out
–
again.
Turn the thermostat control back to position "0".
–
Unplug the device.
–
Hold the device horizontally over a sink.
–
Hold the two side tabs of the steam regulator and pull the steam regulator unit up and out
–
completely.
Hot water and steam are now released from the holes in the soleplate. This washes out residue,
–
deposits and dirt. Move the iron back and forth during this process until the water tank is
completely empty.
Repeat the cleaning process if you feel that not all contaminants have been removed.
–
Insert the self-cleaning device back into the shaft.
–
Place the device on the stand and allow it to cool completely.
