Introduction
Thank you for purchasing a pump from
DCP. DCP pumps are of very sturdy
construction and characterized by a very
low degree of maintenance. However, to
ensure long trouble free service the
instructions in this manual must be
carefully applied.

Application
This instruction relates to DCP's pump
series W. The pumps are sized from 35
mm to 80 mm on the outlet flange.
Pump type W is a special design without
a shaft seal for industrial applications
where the pump housing can be
submerged directely into the pump
media.
Important:
Due to the missing shaft seal the pump
is only to be used in open systems
where there is no back pressure during
standstill. The pump is only for vertical
mounting.

General information
Delivery
Check that the delivery is complete and
for any damages which may have
occurred during transportation.
Damage or lack of supply is to be
communicated to the transport company
and DCP immediately.
Transportation and storage
The pump may be transported and
stored in a vertical or horizontal position.
Make sure that it cannot roll or fall over.
For long periods of storage the pump
and motor must be protected against
moisture and heat.
Always lift the pump in the ring bolt of
the motor or in the carrying handle of
the pump casing. Never by motor cable
or piping.

Pump identification
Every DCP pump has a nameplate. The
indications here are as follows:
Type:
W – Identification of type
The following number is the pump size
characterized by the discharge diameter
in
mm.
Where
indicated like x/y, x indicates the
discharge diameter and y the inlet
diameter.

AN:
First letter indicates material of impeller,
where:
A – Cast iron
B – Stainless steel
C – acid proof
