5.1.1 Charging process
Warning! Do not expose the battery to
extreme conditions such as heat and impact.
There is a risk of injury due to leaking battery
liquid! In case of contact with eye or skin, rinse
the affected areas with water or neutralizer
and seek medical help.
Charge the battery only in dry rooms; the
outer surface of the battery must be clean and
dry before connecting the charger. There is a
risk of injuries through electric shock.
Charge the battery only with the attached
charger.
- Charge the battery before first use. Do not
charge the battery several times in succession
for a short period.
- A significantly reduced operating time despite
charging indicates that the battery has been
used up and needs to be replaced. Use only an
original battery, which you can obtain through
customer service.
- For every case, observe the respective valid
safety instructions as well as regulations and
instructions for environmental protection.
- Defects resulting from improper handling are
not subject to the guarantee.
Recharge the battery
WARNING! Switch off the device and wait for the
blade to come to a halt.
Let a freshly discharged battery (12) to cool down
for about 15 minutes before inserting it into the
charger (13).
1. Remove the battery (12) from the device if
necessary.
2. Slide the batteries (12) onto the charger (13). It
locks into place with a "click" sound.
3. Compare whether the mains voltage specified
on the rating plate matches the existing mains
voltage. IInsert the charger's plug (13) into the
socket.
4. The charging time is about 1 hour when the
battery is empty.
Attention! While charging, the battery pack may

get a little warm, but this is normal.
5. After charging successfully, disconnect the
charger (13) from the mains.
6. Press the release buttons on the battery (12a)
and pull the battery (12) out of the charger (13).
Check the charge status of the battery
Press the button on the battery, the number of
illuminated LEDs indicates the charge status of
the battery:
All LEDs are lit up: The battery is fully charged.
2 LEDs are lit: The battery half charged.
1 LED lights up: Battery is empty, please charge.
5.1.2 Used batteries
- A significantly reduced operating time despite
charging indicates that the battery (12) is
used up and needs to be replaced. Use only
a replacement battery, which you can obtain
through customer service.

safety instructions as well as regulations and
instructions for environmental protection.
5.2 Switching on / off
Switch on
• Hold the chain saw with both hands by the
handles as shown in Fig. 11 (thumb under the
handle).
• Switch-on lock (Fig. 1 / Pos. 5) Pess and hold.
• Switch on chainsaw with on / off switch. The
switch-on lock can now be released again.
Turn off
Release on / off switch (Fig. 1 / Pos. 6) .
The built-in brake stops the rotating saw chain
within a very short time.
Attention! Carry the saw only by the front
handle! If you carry the connected saw only by
the rear handle with the switching elements, it is
possible that you accidentally actuate the switch-
