conventional nebuliser cups, but also from above. The additional air flow coming from the outside, together with
the air flow coming from the compressor, delivers even more particles to the lungs.
VALVE MASK
The innovative PiC Solution mask follows the respiratory rhythm of patients who have no need to take the mask
off, reducing waste and drug dispersion.
The valve allows for exhalation through the valve without any risk of leaks of the remaining nebulised solution.
PREPARING AND USING THE APPLIANCE
• Take the appliance out of the package;
• Lift the appliance's cover and pull out the tray containing the accessories;
• The nasal irrigation device and power cord are found in the relevant compartment under the tray;
• Choose the type of therapy (aerosol therapy or nasal irrigation).
AEROSOL THERAPY:
• Open the nebuliser cup and pour the medicine and/or saline solution in the nebuliser tank, according to the doses
recommended by your physician, without exceeding the maximum level shown by the mark on the tank. Close
the nebuliser cup;
• Connect the tube to the nebuliser cup;
• Connect the nebuliser cup to the accessory needed for the therapy: adult mask, children's mask, fork. In case of
doubt, ask your physician about which accessory to use. When using the adult of children's mask, connect the
same fitting to the valve;
• Connect the tube to the compressed air outlet;
• Connect the detachable power cord to the appliance;
• Connect the power cord plug to the mains;
• Turn on by pressing the on/off switch and start therapy;
• During the treatment session, the nebuliser cup can be rested on its own support;
• Carry out treatment preferably seated and in a comfortable position;
• When the aerosol jet becomes intermittent, interrupt the treatment for a few seconds to allow the suspended
drops of solution to fall on the nebuliser cup walls. Resume the treatment session, which will be finished when
no more nebulised solution is released from the nebuliser cup;
• Once the treatment session is completed, switch the appliance off, unplug it, remove the accessory used and
clean the appliance and accessories according to the instructions in the Cleaning and Maintenance paragraph.
NASAL IRRIGATION:
• Open the transparent tank by rotating it slightly counter-clockwise to disengage it from locked position and
then remove it;
• Fill the tank with a maximum of 20 mL of PiC saline solution or follow your physician's instructions;
• To switch from the adult version to the pediatric version (or vice versa), disconnect the cone, turn it 180° and fit
it back into the body of the nasal irrigation device;
• Close the transparent tank by positioning the insert of the nasal irrigation device body in the tank's groove and
turn clockwise until you hear a click;
• Connect one end of the connection tube to the nasal irrigation spout;
• Connect the tube to the compressed air outlet;
• Connect the detachable power cord to the appliance;
• Connect the power cord plug to the mains;
• Turn on by pressing the on/off switch and start therapy.
CAUTION! When using in nasal irrigation mode, delivery is activated by pressing the button on the device. During
treatment, we recommend that you shut your free nostril with a finger. The delivery flow stops if you release the
delivery button. In order to resume, press the button again and keep it pressed for continuous delivery;
