subwoofer on the floor at a point between the left and right speakers

output. Placing the subwoofer in a corner produces the maximum bass.
POWER
CONNECTIONS
1. Confirm the power switch is in the OFFposition.
2. Connect the supplied power cord to the power
receptacle on the rear of the speaker.
3. Connect the power cord to an available power outlet.
Note:
TheLSR310SSubwoofer incorporates a universal power supply allowing it
to beuseddomestically andintemationally. T hegroundterminalof theIEC
plug is required by wiring codes and regulations and must always be
connected to the electrical installation safety ground.

We recommend the following procedure when unpacking the speaker:

1. Removethe outer shipping carton
2. Place the inner carton on the floor with the
bottom facing upwards.
3. Openthe bottom of the box, remove the
internal packing materials, and open the
protective bag so the subwoofer four feet
are exposed.

1. Connectprofessionalequipment with balancedoutputs to the LEFTand RIGHT
XLRor 1/4" TRS INPUTS of the subwoofer using balancedsignal cables.
Connectconsumer equipment with unbalancedoutputs to the 1/4" T RS INPUTS of
the subwoofer using unbalancedsignal cables.
2. Usingtwo balancedXLRmale to XLRfemale cables, connectthe LEFTsubwoofer
ouput to the LEFTstudio monitor input. Connectthe RIGHT Subwooferoutput to
the RIGHT Studio monitor input
3. Setthe INPUT SENSITIVITY S WITCH on the LSR310Sto the -10 dBV setting for
most applications. Set the switch to the +4 dBu setting when connecting the
LSR310Ssubwooferto professionalequipment with a +4 dBu nominal output
level. To determine the nominal output level of the connected equipment,consult
the documentation supplied with the connectedequipment.
If you notice the sound is distorted, set this switch to the +4 dBu setting. When using the
LSR310Swith 3 SeriesStudio Monitors, make surethe input sensitivity switches on both
speakers and the subwoofer havethe same setting
AUDIO SETTINGS:
1. Setthe CrossoverSwitch to the 80 Hz setting. Or select the XLFsetting to hear the
enhancedbass tuning used in the dance club environment.
2. Increasethe volume control to the full clockwise maximum position.
MAKING
1. After connectionsare made, reducethe output level of the audio source
(mixing console,computer recording system, or preamp)to minimum.
2. Setthe 3 SeriesspeakersPOWER SWITCHES t o the"ONposition." Whenthe
POWER INDICATOR o n the front of eachspeaker illuminates,the speakersare
readyto reproduceaudio signals.
3. Poweron connectedaudio equipment. Slowly advance the volume control of
connected audio equipment to achieve a suitable listening level
4. Adjust the distance between subwoofer and the speakersfor the best blend of low
frequency. Experimentwith the placement of the subwoofer,to find the placement
that producesthe preferred bass response
5. Selectthe rear-panel Polarity Switch to the setting that producesthe most bass
when listening to music recordings. Generally, t his will be the 00 setting
(Switch in the OUTposition).
