The functions of the television, video, etc., memorized
into this remote control transmitter do not operate
properly with the keys.
If the operable distance of this remote control transmitter
is shorter than that of the existing remote control unit,
or if the reaction time of the machine is slow when using
this remote contro! transmitter,
@ Make sure the functions memorized correspond to the
characters or marks on the keys, Functions will operate
as memorized, without relation to the characters or
marks on the keys.
@ If the batteries are weak, it may be impossible to me-
morize functions. insert the indictaed type of batteries
into your existing remote control unit and into this
remote control transmitter, and try memorizing the code
once again. (Make sure the new batteries are the correct
type indicated for the equipment.)
@ The operable distance of this remote control transmitter
and your existing remote control unit are different. In
this case, it may happen that the operable distance is
shortened.
@ Try memorizing once again, making sure you are me-
morizing at an appropriate distance.
@ Check that the batteries are not weak.
@ |t may be simply that the correspondence between the
unit and machine is slow.
The codes memorized by the keys of this remote control
transmitter have been "forgotten" (the ONKYO AUDIO
SYSTEM key codes will never be forgotten),
@ |f the batteries are taken out of the unit for more than
one hour, memorized codes will be lost. In this case,
please memorize the codes once again.

What We Will Do
If the ONKYO Remote Control unit fails during normal home use because of a manufacturing defect within ninety days
of original date of purchase, ONKYO U.S.A will repair it or, at ONKYO's option, exchange it for areplacement unit without
charge.
How To Obtain a Warranty Repair
To obtain a warranty repair, return the defective unit to ONKYO U.S.A. Corp. It will be examined to verify its defective
condition, and if defective and it has been modified, damaged, or misused, it will be repaired or, at our option, replaced.
1. Properly pack the unit. We recommend using the original carton and packing materials.
2. Include in the package a copy of the sales receipt or other evidence of data of original purchase. Also include your
name and address and a description of the defect.
3. Ship the unitto: ONKYO U.S.A. Corp., Service Dept. at below address. You must pay for transportation and insurance.
ONKYO will return your unit postage paid.
When Warranty Does Not Apply
This warranty does not apply to units purchased for use in hotels, motels, schools or military installations or for use in
any other commercial application including, but not limited to, rental units or units purchased for use in rental homes
or apartments.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
