Loading the batteries
Remove the battery compartment cover by sliding it in the
direction of the arrow. Load four AA-size batteries with the
plus (+) and minus (—) terminals positioned as indicated
by the diagram inside the battery compartment and close
the cover.
1. When batteries lose their power, all indicators will flash.
2. Remove dead batteries immediately to avoid corrosion
damage.
3. To avoid corrosion damage, never mix old batteries
with new ones.
4. Learned codes are not lost even when the batteries are
replaced. They may be lost, however, if battery re-
placement is not completed within an hour. In this case,
the unit must learn the codes again.
5. Alkaline batteries (AM-3) can be used in the
RC-AV10M, for longer battery life.
Control positions and functions
{1} Display Indicators
These indicators act as guides when this unit "learns"
and "uses" commands. They also warn the user when
an error is made or when battery power is low.
NOTE:
The manganese batteries supplied with this unit have
a service life of approximately six months, depending
on frequency of usage.
{2] Use/learn Switch (USE/LEARN)
This switches the unit between the use mode and the
learn mode. Normally, when power is turned on, the
unit is automatically in use mode. Press this switch
to change to the fearn mode. Each time the switch is
pressed, the unit switches from use mode to learn mode
and back again.
