l Avoid that the positive and/or negative terminals and/or the poles of the batteries come into
contact with each other or with metal. This can lead to a short circuit.
l The batteries should not be disassembled or modified. The batteries contain safety and protec-
tive devices. Damage to the batteries may generate heat, explode or ignite.
l Do not store the batteries in or near fire, stoves, or other objects that emit high temperatures.
Do not expose the batteries to direct sunlight. Do not store the battery in a car in hot weather.
The battery may explode or ignite at high temperatures.
l Batteries should not be kept within the reach of children.
l To avoid short circuits, cover the poles of the batteries with insulating tape before disposing of them.
l Battery use should be discontinued immediately if unusual odors, a change in color, shape, or
other abnormal circumstances occur.
l Do not place the batteries in microwave ovens, high-pressure containers or on hotplates.
l If liquid leaks from a battery and comes into contact with your eye, do not rub the eye, rinse
well with water and seek medical attention immediately. If the eye is not treated immediately,
the battery fluid may cause serious injury to the eye.
8. MAINTENANCE
l Solar panel: The solar panel should only
be cleaned with a clean, soft cloth and
with a suitable, non-aggressive glass
cleaning agent.
l Pump: The pump should be cleaned from
sediments and deposits at regular
intervals, depending on the degree of
contamination of the pond. To clean the pump impeller and filters, remove the plastic cover
from the pump casing.
8.1 Storage
l Before storing the pump, fully charge the battery as described.
l To maintain the battery life, disconnect the pump plug and store all parts in a dry place.
