IMPORTANT:
These instructions should be supplied
to each person using this product. This
pulley must be inspected prior to each
use by the user and at least once a year
by an authorized and qualified person.
The inspection should be recorded on the
enclosed annual inspection card.
COMPATIBILITY
Pulley is only compatible with EN 12275
connectors. Incompatible connections can
cause detachment or breakage.
INSPECTION
Immediately before, during and after use
make visual inspection of the product to
ensure that it is a serviceable condition
and is operating correctly.
Verify the sideplates rotate freely. If the
sideplates do not rotate freely, do not use
the product.
Check the condition of attachment holes
for deformation, cracks or corrosion.
Check the condition of the sheave. Check
for any marks, deep grooves, deformation,
corrosion and make sure no foreign
obstacles are lodged between the sheave
and the sideplate. Test the sheave by
spinning the wheel. Verify that the sheave
turns freely.
Pulley should meet all of the above condi-
tions, if not, retire, discard or send back to
Notch Equipment for evaluation.
It's important to regularly inspect the
condition of all connectors in the system,
confirming all pieces of equipment are
correctly positioned with respect to
each other.
DETAILED INSPECTION
In addition to inspection before, during
and after each use, a detailed inspection
by a competent inspector must be done at
least every 12 months or more frequently
depending on amount and type of use.

Make a copy of these instructions and use
one as the permanent inspection record
and keep the other with the equipment.
Record the results on your PPE inspection
form: type, model, manufacturer contact
info, serial number or individual number,
dates: maufacture, purchase, first use, next
periodic inspection; problems, comments,
inspector's names and signature.
CLEANING, SERVICING
AND STORAGE
Cleaning: If soiled, rinse in clean warm
water (maximum temperature 25°C) with
mild neutral detergent at appropriate
dilution (pH range 5.5-8.5), thoroughly
rinse. When the equipment becomes wet,
either from being in use or when due
to cleaning, it should be allowed to dry
naturally, and should be kept away from
direct heat. Light surface corrosion may
be removed with a wire brush (no power
tools). Retire if corrosion is heavy.
Storage: During transportation or after
any necessary cleaning, store unpacked
in a cool, dry, dark place in a chemically
neutral environment away from excessive
heat or heat sources, high humidity, sharp
edges, corrosives or other possible causes
of damage. Do not store wet.
LIFETIME
Unlimited for metal products. Lifespan
is the maximum life of the product,
subject to detailed conditions that the
manufacturer recommends that product
should remain in service. It is very difficult
to estimate the obsolescence due to local
use and storage conditions.
WHEN TO RETIRE FROM SERVICE
Immediately retire any equipment if:
• It has been exposed to a fall or was
significantly loaded
• It was misused, altered, damaged,
exposed to harmful chemicals
• Sheave does not rotate smoothly
