6. Press START. The indicator lights will turn red, indicating heating.
The display will show the average live temperature of the water as
the heat increases. (You can cancel heating at any time by pressing
STOP.)
7. Meanwhile, add tea to the infuser. Use loose tea (about 2 teaspoons
per cup) or tea bags based on the amount of water you're heating.
(Wait to insert the infuser until the desired temperature has been
reached.)
8. Add the infuser to the kettle. When the set temperature is reached,
the unit will beep. For every tea preset and temperature setting aside
from BOIL, a Steep Timer will display with a recommended steeping
time. (When the Steep Timer appears, the indicator lights will turn
solid green, and the START/STOP button will pulse white.) Carefully
lift off the lid. Slide the tea-filled infuser onto the underside of the
lid (a slight twist helps), insert it into the pot, and press on the lid to
close.
9. Steep. Set the Steep Timer for the recommended steeping time by
pressing START. Otherwise, use the up and down arrows to adjust
the steep time as desired, and then press START. (If the Steep Timer
appears but is not activated within 5 minutes, the unit will enter
KEEP WARM mode.) Once the Steep Timer is started, the indicator
lights will slowly pulse green, and the timer will count down. When
the timer ends, it will beep, KEEP WARM mode will begin, and the
indicator lights will turn solid green.
10. When finished steeping, carefully remove the infuser by lifting off
the lid. WARNING: Use extreme caution when removing the infuser,
