Operating Manual HC 20
1. Before starting work, check the dimensional accuracy of the crimping mandrels of the four
mandrel crimping unit. Here, the crimping device must be in Sleep mode (all LED' are off).
Alternatively, the battery can be momentarily disconnected and again connected.
· Set the crimping mandrels to the appropriate plug gauge dimension using the adjusting
wheel.
· The crimping depth to be set must always be carried out from a greater value, for
example, by providing the crimping dimension from 2.05 mm to 2.00 mm.
· Press the Start button (1) and hold pressed until the LED's (4) consecutively flash
("operating light"). The test and calibration mode is active
· Release the Start button (1).
· Again press and hold the Start button (1). The crimping device moves to the test and
calibration position.
· Push the plug gauge between the mandrels. The enclosed plug gauge must rest on the
mandrels and be able to be moved with no play.
· If there are dimensional deviations, carry out re-calibration (refer to Chapter 9).
· Press the relief knob. Return the crimping mandrels to the initial position.
· Operate the crimping cycle 1x empty.
2. Observe the processing instructions of the four mandrel crimping unit.
· Correct selection for the crimping contact cable
· Precise arrangement and setting of the crimp parameters (position of the contact
holder, crimp mandrel depth)
3. To start the crimping tool, press the Start button (1).
9 Re-calibration
9.1 Preparation of the crimping device
Please note!
· The crimping device must be switched off so that it can be re-calibrated.
· There must be one activating cycle between two re-calibrations.
· For re-calibration, refer to the operating manual for the crimping unit.
· Before starting the test and calibration procedure, the crimping unit must be
set to the plug gauge dimension
1. The crimping device must be switched off.
If it is not switched off, remove the battery and install it.
2. Press the Start button (1) and hold pressed until the LED's (4) consecutively flash
("operating light"). The test and calibration mode is active.
3. Release the Start button (1).
4. Again press the Start button (1). The crimping device moves to the test and calibration position.
5. After reaching the test and calibration position, the LED's (4) flash simultaneously.
6. The crimping unit can now be checked.
