6.7 Adjusting the angle of the sanding disc (K) / wheels (L)
Note!
The best sanding results along with optimum machine control are achieved if the sanding
attachment is set up such that approx. 1/3 of the sanding disc is in firm contact with the floor.
In order to achieve this angle the height of the wheels can be adjusted. This lifts the machine
at the motor side and sets the sanding attachment at an angle.
Steps:
1. Switch the machine off.
2. Unplug the mains plug.
3. Loosen the knurled screws (1) for each wheel (2).
4. Adjust the height of the wheels by turning the latching nut (3).
5. Fasten these settings in place by tightening the two knurled screws (1).
In order to reduce dust formation, the hook-and-loop tape can be adjusted to the tilt
of the machine. (L)

Caution!
Check the flooring for loose pieces of parquet. These must be fastened down
before sanding.
Caution! Risk of fire!
If the flooring has nails in it then these must be driven in deep enough before sanding
starts to ensure that there is no risk of them being ground during the sanding work.
Grinding nails can produce sparks and this can start a fire.
For example, a spark in the dust bag could start a fire.
7.1 Switching on and off (M
Caution! Risk of injury!
Hold the machine in both hands when switching on.
The machine is equipped with a soft-start that increases the speed gradually.
Thus there is enough time available to find the correct grip position.
Steps:
1. Tip the GECKO STAR 2.0 somewhat rearwards so that the sanding attachment is lifted off
the floor.
2. Switch the machine on with the switch on the side.
The two lamps illuminate automatically if the machine is plugged in at the mains.
