6 Preparing connection of the seat occupation detector for the seat
(Figure 3.2.2, page 72), (required in dependence of vehicle type)
6.1 Determine the type of wiring of the vehicle and appoint the wiring of
the seat connecting cable as indicated in the following:
(A) Make contact (diagnosable):
Contact ground – seat occupation (common)
Make contact (510 / 122Ohm; max.0.25 W DC)
(B) Make contact:
Contact ground – seat occupation (common)
Make contact (
(C) Make contact (diagnosable):
Contact ground – seat occupation (common)
Make contact (3000 / 1500 Ohm; max. 0.25 W DC) > grey (e)

Note:
The lines (c, d, e) have a diameter of 0.5 mm.
6.2 Note:
Please perform steps 6.2 and 6.3 only if the connectors from the
installation kit do not fit the vehicle connector.
Cut off the connectors from the vehicle connecting cable and crimp
the contacts of the installation kit onto the wires of the seat
occupation.
Notes:
Use the smaller flat plug receptacles (6) and the smaller flat plugs
•
(4) of the installation kit for the lines for seat occupation.
Figure 3.2.2 exemplifies the connection with 3 flat plugs (4) on the
•
vehicle side.
6.3 Slide the flat plug receptacles (6) or the flat plug with the wires into the
chambers of the receptacle shell (7) or the connector shell (5).
