Starting locomotive operation
Operatinginstructions:Before useis advisable
to let the loco go aroundabout 30 minutesfor-
wards and 30 minutes backwardswithout load,to
obtainan optimalcircuitand besttractivepower.
Thesmallestradius this model should run is R2 of
the ROC O tracksystem(R2= 288,2mm).
Yourlocomotive will runsmoothly on cleantracks
. only Forthispurpose we recommend usingitem
no.25093, Roco track cleaning van, or item no.
10002, Rocotrack cleaning rubber, for remo-
ving heavydirt.
Installation for the close-coupling: For the
installationof the close-coupling the following
two articles of the Fleischmann*-production-pro-
m gram will beneeded: itemno.9572(the adap-
ter) and item no. 9570 (the coupling-device,
e adjustabl for height)(seefig. I). Beforethe
installationpleaseremovethe body of the loco
(seefig. 2).

Collection of current: This locomotive has been
constructed for both,overhead currentpickupand
current p ickup fromthetracks (please seefig.3).
If this loco will be used on a layout with intact
overheadcables (no matter if with overheadcur-
rentpickupor currentpickupfrom the tracks)the
switchmustbe set eitheron purecurrentpickup
oronpurecurrent p ickup fromthetracks asother-
wise - under use of a least two locos with exten-
and a switch-position as

cuit. Priorto this removelocobody(fig.2).
