DriverID Setting
The driver ID in the models specified below can be changed.
Each type of driver is available for each model.
Normally, if a printer is replaced by a different model, the driver needs to be re-
installed.
When replacing one of the specified models, you can use the driver you have been
using so far by changing the driver ID.
Specified models
CT-S851III, CT-S851II, CT-S851, CT-S651II, CT-S651
1.
While paper is loaded, press and hold key 1 as you turn the power on.
The function test mode starts, and "Self test" appears on the LCD.

Press key 3 (
"DriverID Setting" appears on the LCD.

Pressing key 4 (
S851III" appears on the LCD.
Select the name of the model to be replaced.
Each time key 2 (
S651II" -> "DriverID Settings CT-S851" -> "DriverID Settings CT-S851II" -> "DriverID
Settings CT-S851III" appears in this order.
Each time key 3 (
S851" -> "DriverID Settings CT-S651II" -> "DriverID Settings CT-S651" -> "DriverID Settings
CT-S851III" appears in this order.

Select a model name, then press key 4 (
) 3 times.
) starts the driver ID setting mode, and "DriverID Setting CT-
) is pressed, "DriverID Settings CT-S651" -> "DriverID Settings CT-

) to restart the printer.
