AUDIO SIGNAL CABLES
When installing the audio cables between the RCA outputs of the head unit and the RCA inputs of the amplifier,
the audio and power supply cables should, if possible, not be routed along the same side of the vehicle. We
recommend a separated installation, e.g. routing the power cable through the cable channel on the left side
and the audio cables through the cable channel of the vehicle on the right side or vice versa. This prevents
interferences due to crosstalk into the audio signal.
SIGNAL OUTPUTS FOR ADDITIONAL AMPLIFIERS
The input signal on the LINE INPUT jacks (Fig. 1,8) will be routed in stereo to the output jacks LINE OUTPUT
(Fig. 1,9). Thus the LINE OUTPUT jack allows the connection of a additional amplifier.
OPERATING ELEMENTS
INPUT SENSITIVITY
Turn the GAIN controller (Fig. 1,7) of the amplifier to the MIN position. Then turn the volume controller of the
head unit to 80 - 90% of its full setting. Now turn GAIN clockwise until you hear some distortion. Then turn back
the GAIN (Fig. 1,7) slightly until you hear a cleaner sound.
X-OVER SWITCH
The X-OVER switch determines the desired operating mode of the amplifier.
LPF/BPF: Low pass filter, the frequency range is limited upwardly, adjustable by the controller LPF (Fig. 1,4).
The controller HPF/SUB SONIC (Fig. 1,6) acts in this mode as a subsonic filter and limits the frequency
downwards (bandpass function). NOTE: If this controller is turned to a higher value than the LPF controller, no
sound is audible.
HPF: High pass filter, the frequency range is limited downwardly, adjustable by the controller HPF/SUB SONIC
(Fig. 1,6).
FULL: Full range mode, the entire frequency range is amplified
VARIABLE HIGH PASS / SUBSONIC FILTER
With the HPF/SUB SONIC controller (Fig. 1,6) you can adjust the lower cross-over frequency, to filter out the
very low frequencies to relieve the subwoofer or to generate a bandpass signal. If you don't want to use this
function, turn the controller (Fig. 1,6) to the very left to the 20 Hz position.
NOTE: The adjusted value of the HPF/SUB SONIC (Fig. 1,5) should not be higher than the adjusted value of
the LPF controller (Fig. 1,4). Otherwise no sound will be audible.
VARIABLE LOW PASS FILTER
Set the desired cross-over frequency by using the controller LPF (Fig. 1,4). Thus to that only the frequencies
below the chosen cross-over frequency will be amplified and the subwoofer plays more precisely and efficient.
VARIABLE BASS EQ
With the BASS EQ controller (Fig. 1,3) you are able to adjust the bass level from 0 - 12 dB.
Attention: Use the BASS EQ wisely!
BASS LEVEL REMOTE CONTROLLER
With the included bass level cable remote controller you are able to adjust the bass level e.g. out of the driver's
seat.
