Calling up the Program index.
If you have forgotten where each
program is stored, call up the Index.
Press the blue key @. The screen will
at once display the list of stored
programs, in ascending order from 00 to
25. If you press the
key again, the
program numbers from 26 to 50 will be
displayed.
Each program number will be
preceded by the program name you
have assigned to it. In addition, on the
right, you will see which program
numbers have been prepared for display
via the Euro AV socket.
Pressing the blue key @ again
will remove the program index from the
screen.
Calling up Channel Display.
Do you want to know the channel for
the station you have just switched on?
Press the "Programming" key @) briefly
- the channel band and the channel
number will be superimposed on the
screen.
Starting Station Search.
Do you want to know what other
stations can be received with your
antenna system? Press the "Station
Search key @). briefly. Search will
commence and will stop on reception of
station; press the @) again. The set will
search for TV channel and cable TV
channel stations.

Adjusting the picture.
According to program or light conditions,
you will certainly want to alter the
picture settings occasionally. The
"values" of the individual settings will
help you here. The set expresses all the
setting values for contrast, brightness,
etc., in numerical form, and displays
them on the screen during adjustment.
All screen settings can be
controlled from the remote control.
Contrast.
This will be determined by room
brightness. Rule of thumb: the brighter
the surroundings, the greater the
contrast. If you want to adjust this,
press the "Contrast
keys.
Adjusting the contrast on the set: press
function key
twice. <Contr.> will be
displayed on-screen.
You can vary the contrast with the (7)
and (-) keys while this is superimposed.
Brightness.
Press the "Picture Function" key ©
once. You will see <Bright> appear on
the screen. While <Bright> is
displayed on the screen,
you can adjust
the brightness with the
© keys.
Make sure that black areas still appear
black. Adjust brightness on the set:
press function key
three times and
adjust the brightness with the (A) and
—) keys.
Peaking.
Press the "Picture Function key ©
twice. You will see <Peaking>
appear
on the screen. You can adjust the
picture sharpness slightly with the
keys. You can see the effect of
changes best with test patterns. Values
are adjustable from -1 through O to +1.
Colour.
You adjust the intensity
of the colours
with the "Colour"
keys. Select
the colours so that they appear natural;
the skin tones are best for this purpose.
Adjusting the colour on the set: press
function key
four times and adjust
accordingly with the FF) and (-) keys.
Colour hue.
Press the "Colour Function" key
once. <Hue>
will be superimposed on
the screen. Adjust with the keys
O@©.
With the NTSC TV standard, hue
is best set by the skin tones. With all
other TV standards, the hue will only be
altered slightly. Set a slight red
colouration with Colour Oo @, and
slightly blue with Colour &) @).
if a "coloured spot" occurs.
A "coloured spot" may occasionally
occur after changing the position of the
set. If this happens, proceed as follows:
switch the set off with the power button
on the set and leave the TV switched off
for at least half an hour. Then switch on
again - the spot is gone. The automatic
demagnetization circuit for the picture
tube has "erased" it.
