4. HORIZONTAL
DEFLECTION ALIGNMENT
The semi-variable resistor (R709) is sealed in the factory
for
continued
X-Ray
radiation
protection.
When
the
horizontal
frequency
changes,
adjust
the
semi-variable
resistor (R709) as follows.
1. Conditions where adjustment is needed.
Adjustment
is needed when the following components
have been replaced.
Resistor
...........
R709, R710
Capacitor
..........
C708
IG. See See
be Peas
1¢701
Refer to the circuit schematic diagram.
2. Procedure
Step 1:
Replace the semi-variable resistor for the hori-
zontal frequency adjustment, since it has been
preadjusted and sealed in the factory.
Step 2: Turn the H. HOLD
(R707) approximately at
the midle
position, then make a short circuit
for C704 with jamp wire.
Step 3:
Adjust R709 so that the oscillation frequency
may
be
15.625KHz,
seeing
the
frequency
counter or the picture drift.
Step 4:
Remove the jamp wire.
Step 5:
Fix the horizontal frequency adjustment semi-
variable resistor (R709) as follows.
The method of fixing the semi-variable resistor.
1. Apply HITACHI
specified glue on the semi-
variable resistor as Fig. 14.
2. Put the canoe rivet into the rotator of the
semi-variable resistor as Fig. 14.
3. Apply
HITACHI
specified
glue
over
the
canoe rivet to seal this resistor.
Step 6:
After
the
glue applied
to
R709
has cured,
confirm that the oscillation frequency is coinci-
dent with the value in Step 3.
5. VERTICAL
DEFLECTION ALIGNMENT
When
the
picture
stretches
or contracts
turn
the two
controls (R604,
R609) to obtain the best picture.
7. CHANNEL
LINE ALIGNMENT
The location of channel indicating line is aligned as follows.
6. POWER SOURCE ALIGNMENT
The semi-variable resistor (R906)
is sealed in the factory
for
continued
X-Ray
radiation
protection.
When
the
output
voltage
changes,
adjust the semi-variable
resistor
(R906) as follows.
1. Conditions where adjustment is needed.
Adjustment
is needed when the following components
have been replaced.
Diode.............
ZD901
Resistor
........004
R905, R906, R907
Transistor
..........
Q902
Refer to the circuit schematic diagram.
2. Procedure
Step 1:
Replace
the semi-variable
resistor for the +B
adjustment,
since it has been preadjusted and
sealed in the factory.
Fully
turn
the
+B
adjustment
semi-variable
resistor
in the direction
of counterclockwise.
Connect
the tester
(precision
+2%) with the
output terminal
to set up the +B voltage.
Adjust R906 to obtain 11.4V +0.2V.
Fix the
+B
adjustment
semi-variable
resistor
(R903) is follows.
The method of fixing the semi-variable resistor.
1. Apply HITACHI specified glue on the semi-
variable resistor as Fig. 14.
Put the canoe rivet into the rotator of the
semi-variable resistor as Fig. 14.
Apply
HITACHI
specified
glue over
the
canoe rivet to seal this resistor.
After
the
glue applied
to R906
has cured,
confirm that the +B voltage is coincident with
the value in Step 4.
