• Place the camshaft clamping tool (B) in the middle on the camshaft module in such a way that
both clamps each cover a camshaft.
• Tighten the camshafts in the tool by turning the conical knurled nut.
• By rotating the flat knurled nut, clamp the camshafts in the camshaft module.
• Loosen the locking on the insert tool of the camshafts.
• The sealing surfaces between the camshaft module and the cylinder head must be sealed. To
do so, apply an adhesive sealant (see manufacturer's instructions) to the cleaned and grease-
free cylinder head.
• Check the correct position of the crankshaft again.
• Take the camshafts together with the camshaft module and the tools B and C1 / C2 still fitted,
out of the insert tool and carefully place them in the cylinder head.
• Tighten the camshaft module mounting bolts in the required order and with the required
torque.
• Only now can tools B and C1 / C2 be loosened and removed.
P L E A S E A L S O N O T E T H E F O L L O W I N G :
• Sealant residue on the cylinder head and on the camshaft module must be carefully removed.
The best thing for this is a rotating plastic brush. Cover any open areas of the engine before
cleaning.
• Clean the sealing surfaces. They must be free of oil and grease.
• Oil the camshaft running surfaces before installing the camshaft module.
