SAFETy ElEmENTS
All our products are provided with a multiple safety system:
1) Digitally controlled electronic circuit.
The control unit was specifically designed and exhaustively tested to guarantee
the highest safety standards.
Thanks to its exclusive high-precision electronic circuit, the control unit
maintains the temperature of the heating element constant, as well as ensures
the correct operation of the product. If a flaw such as excessive temperature
is detected, the control unit will immediately switch off the heating element. If
this happens, the digital temperature level indicator of the control unit will start
flashing.
2) Safety AUTO-OFF.
To maximize safety when using the product, an additional safety switch off
function has been incorporated into every control unit. This function sets a
maximum period of time for which the product can operate continuously.
The period is set for 2 hours and 12 hours for the heating pads and heating
underblankets, respectively. Other shorter periods can be selected by the user,
through the time selection button.
When these periods have elapsed, the product will switch off automatically.
This reduces the risk to the user of spending too much time in contact with
the heating element, as well as the risk of leaving the product in operation
unnecessarily.
When the safety AUTO-OFF function is activated, the heating element is swit-
ched off. To restart the product, push the control unit ON/OFF button.
3) Safety heating elements.
The heating elements of all our products use double-wound wiring with an
integrated internal sensor element. They boast an especial technology that
prevents hot spots and makes impossible the overheating of the element. If,
through a product failure or improper use, the product reaches or exceeds
a predetermined threshold value, the heating element will be automatically
switched off, thus avoiding the risk of skin burns or fire.
