Sound Memory
With this unit's Sound Memory features, you can store your favorite bass/treble fevels in two memories
(SOUND1,
SOUND2)
and can recall them whenever you desire.

1 To change SOUND MEMORY
mode
Press the SOUND button to switch the sound mode as in the following order.
Normal

SOUND1
—-»
SOUND2
2 Setting Sound Memory
@ Press the SOUND button to select SOUND1 (or SOUND2).
@ Press and hold the SOUND button for at least 2 seconds to switch the memory mode. "SOUND1"{or
"SOUND2") indicator will blink.
@ Adjust Bass and Treble by following to the procedures on the page 4, and select your favorite sound.
@ When desired selections have been made, press and hold the SOUND button for at least 2 seconds
to memorize them in SOUND} (or SOUND2).
@ This operation should be done within 5 seconds after the desired selections have been made. Failure
to do this will return to the previous mode to the selection.
@When the memory setting has been completed, BASS and TRE will alternately blink twice for a half
second with each set level indicated.
Note:
The following shows the initial setting levels of this unit.
@ SOUND 1

emphasizing each bass and treble by 8 dB
@ SOUND2
—-—
emphasizing treble by 4 dB.
3 Recalling Sound Memory
Press the SOUND
button to select SOUND!
(or SOUND2). "SOUND1"
(or "SOUND2") indicator will be
illuminated, and the set Sound Memory is activated.

Press the PWR button on.

Manual tuning
By pressing the " \V TUNE/SEEK" or "TUNE/SEEK
/\" button, you can tune the frequency downward or
4 Seek tuning
Press the "\V TUNE/SEEK"
or "TUNE/SEEK A"
button for more than a half second, seek tuning will
operate and stop automatically on the next strong
station. Continue this operation until you find the
: desired Station.
"Note: While the disc is inserted, press the mode
_button to change CD mode.

5 To tune in a preset station
Press the preset buttons to recall the previous preset
; _ Stations.

To reduce interference during FM
stereo broadcasts (MONO Button)
Press the MONO button to switch monaural recep-
tion in case much interference is present in an FM
stereo signal or to improve the listening quality of
weak FM broadcasts.
"MONO" indicator will be illuminated.
7 Switch from DX to LOC
Normaliy, searching
stops even at a weak
wave
station. To stop searching at a strong wave station
only, press this button.
"LOCAL" indicator will be illuminated.

Modes

button is pressed repeatedly.
