Recommendation Camera Startup
Configuration ArkVisionUnit 7"
If all cameras are configured differently, the PC is disconnected from the switch and the ArkVisonUnit 7" mo-
nitor is connected instead.
No PC is necessary here, all settings are made directly via the monitor's on-screen menu.
In the monitor settings, the IP address of the monitor must first be set according to the table, e.g. Monitor 1:
192.168.0.151. This must correspond to the RTP Destination IP of the desired camera.
Furthermore, the stream settings of the camera inputs are now also configured according to the table.
For each camera input (C1 to max . C4) the corresponding IP address of the camera, the format and the port
are set. Ex. camera 1: 192.168.0.77, H.264, 5006.
Then the video image of this camera should be visible.
Resolution and frame rate should also be adjusted to the camera settings, but different settings have no effect
at the moment.
Hints for optimized settings of Basic+ (mini) cameras with limited network bandwidth
1)
General
The H.264 compression format requires less bandwidth than MJPEG for the same quality.
Higher resolutions and frame rates of the stream require more bandwidth than lower ones.
Image Sensor Mode:
Normal: Standard
▪
DNR (Digital Noise Reduction): lower bandwidth due to noise reduction, possible loss of fine de-
▪
tails, but very smooth image.
WDR (Wide Dynamic Range): increased bandwidth, because here larger contrast differences are
▪
represented in the image.
2)
H264 settings
Bitrate: maximum output bitrate of the camera, internally limited to this value by quality adjustment.
Bitrate Mode:
Off - free-running mode without bitrate limitation.
▪
Constant
▪
optimized for static image content, possible artifacts during motion, constant output with the set
▪
bitrate Variable
optimized for image content with a lot of motion, bitrate increases with motion, limitation to max.
▪
set bitrate
Constant/Variable
optimized for static image content, possible artifacts with motion, bitrate decreases with motion,
▪
limitation to max. set bitrate
