5. ELEMENTE DES KITEBOARDINGS
Menschen, Tieren, Strommasten, Bäumen und
anderen Hindernissen.
•
Gehe sicher, dass dein Partner weiß, wie er dir
beim Landen helfen kann.
•
Steuere den Kite langsam zum Wind und dei-
nem Partner entgegen. • Dein Partner sollte
sich auf der Luvseite des Kite befi nden, wenn
er sich dir nähert.
•
Sobald der Kite den Boden fast berührt, sollte
dein Partner den Kite in der Mitte des Leading
Edge Tube anfassen.
•
Er sollte den Kite an der gleichen Stelle wie
beim Start greifen.
•
Der Partner sollte nie die Waageleinen oder
Flugleinen des Kite greifen.
•
Dein Partner sollte es vermeiden, den Kite an
den Ecken der Wingtips zu greifen. Wenn man
den Kite an einer Ecke der Wingtips greift, kann
der Kite wegschnalzen oder anfangen, sich
um die eigene Achse zu drehen. Der Kite wird
schwer zu manövrieren sein.
•
Dein Partner sollte deinen Kite so lange halten,
bis du ihn gesichert hast.
2. Lande den Kite etwa bei 110° zum Wind auf der
Leading
Edge.
Diese Landungsmöglichkeit besteht nur bei leich-
tem Wind, bei stärkerem Wind wird der Kite nicht in
eine stabile Position mit der LE nach unten fallen.
•
Lande den Kite bei etwa 110° zum Wind und
lass ihn in eine stabile Position kippen, so
dass er auf der Leading Edge Tube liegt, mit
den Wingtips in Richtung Wind.
•
Sichere den Kite vor dem Rutschen nach Lee.
•
Warte bis der Kite in einer stabilen Position auf
dem Boden liegt.
•
Gehe rasch in Richtung des Kites und sichere
ihn gut ab.
3. Lande den Kite bei etwa 110° zum Wind mit
Benutzung des QR Sicherheit Systems.
•
Mache die Quick Release Sicherheitsleine am
Stahlring am linken Ende der Lenkstange fest.
•
Lande den Kite bei etwa 110° zum Wind und
lasse ihn in eine sichere Stellung und auf die
LE Tube kippen, mit den Spitzen in Richtung
des Windes.
•
Lass die Lenkstange los, der Kite wird wie eine
Fahne fl iegen und das Meiste seiner Zugkraft
verlieren. Achtung: Der Kite kann noch unter
hohem Zug stehen.
•
Warte bis der Kite eine sichere Stelle auf dem
Boden ereicht hat.
•
Bringe den Schnee- oder Sandkarabiner am
Stahlring der linken Seite der Lenkstange an.

KITEBOARDING ELEMENTS
•
Make sure your partner has been instructed on
how to land your Kite properly.
•
Slowly steer your Kite into the wind and to your
partner.
•
Your partner should be on the windward side of
your Kite as he/she approaches it.
•
Once the Kite is nearly touching the ground,
your partner should grab the Kite at the middle
of the Leading Edge strut.
•
He or she should grab the Kite in the same
location on the Kite as when it was launched.
•
Your partner should not grab the Kite bridle or
fl ying lines.
•
Your partner should avoid grabbing the Kite by
either wingtip. Grabbing the Kite by the wingtip
will often cause it to fl ip or spin; the Kite will
also be hard to manage.
•
Your partner should continue to hold the Kite
until you secured it.
2. Land the Kite about 110 degree off the wind on
its Leading Edge tube.
This option is only possible in light winds, with
stronger winds, the Kite will not tip in a stable posi-
tion with the Leading Edge facing down.
•
Land the Kite about 110 degree off the wind
and let it tip into a stable position lying on the
LE tube, tips facing towards the wind.
•
Secure the Kite against slipping downwind
•
Wait until the Kite is in a stable position on the
ground.
•
Move quickly to the Kite and secure it
safely.
3. Land the Kite about 110 degree off the wind by
using the QR Safety System
•
Attach the harness Safety Leash to the steel
ring on the left bar end.
•
Land the Kite about 110 degree off the wind
and let it tip into a stable position lying on the
LE tube, tips facing towards the wind
•
Drop the bar => the Kite will blow like a fl ag and
loose most of its
power.
Attention:
the Kite can still have a strong pull
•
Wait until the Kite is in a stable position on the
ground
•
Attach the sand/snow stake carbine to the steel
ring on the left bar end
•
If the carbine is not available this line can also
be attached to another suitable stable mooring.
•
Move quickly to the Kite and secure it safely.
