- Seite 6 Zum Vorbild Ein Meilenstein in der Entwicklung der preußischen Personenzuglokomotiven gelang 1906: Die P 8, wie die spätere Baureihe 38 in Ost wie West einfach nur genannt wurde, nahm Fahrt auf. Robert Garbe, der Lokomotiv-Dezernent der KPEV-Eisenbahndirektion Berlin, war für die Entwicklung dieser gelungenen Maschine verantwortlich.
