SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!

Read these instructions carefully and
familiarise yourself with the controls on
the lawn mower and how they are used.

Never allow children, or anyone who is
unfamiliar with the lawn mower and
these instructions, to use it. There may
be local regulations for the minimum
age of persons allowed to use the
machine.
•
Do not use the lawn mower when other
persons, especially children, or pets are
in the vicinity.
•
The user is responsible for any accidents
or risks to other persons or property.
•
Do not use the lawn mower if you are
tired, ill, upset, or under the influence of
drugs, alcohol or medication.
•
Do not modify the lawn mower.
•
Do not use the lawn mower in bad
weather.
•
Risk of hearing impairment. Wear ear
protection.
•
Noisy work should be limited to specific
periods.
•
Rest at regular intervals and if necessary
reduce working hours to a minimum.
•
The user must wear hearing protection,
which others in the vicinity may also
need to wear.
•
Rest at regular intervals. Failure to take
sufficiently long and frequent breaks can
result in vibration injuries.
•
Exposure to vibrations from the
prolonged use of petrol-powered hand
tools can result in circulation injuries.
•
Prolonged use in cold weather has been
linked to blood vessel injuries in
otherwise healthy people. If symptoms
such as numbness, pain, weakness,
swelling, changes in skin colour or loss
of feeling in fingers, hands and joints
should occur, stop using the machine
and seek medical attention.
•
Always remove the cap from the spark
plug, switch off the lawn mower, and
wait until all moving parts have
completely stopped before carrying out
any maintenance and/or cleaning.
Intended use
•
The lawn mower is intended for mowing
lawns.
•
The lawn mower must only be used as it is
intended to be used and in accordance
with these instructions. The manufacturer
is not liable for any personal injury or
damage to equipment resulting from
incorrect use. The full responsibility for any
such personal injury or material damage
rests on the user.
•
Do not use the lawn mower if parts are
missing or damaged – risk of serious
personal injury.
•
Recycle the packaging in accordance with
local regulations.
•
Two persons are needed to lift the lawn
mower out of the packaging. Make sure
there is enough space to put down the
lawn mower. Stand firmly with your feet
apart, bend your knees and keep your
back straight when lifting.
Before use
•
Always wear heavy-duty shoes and long
trousers when using the lawn mower. Do
not use the lawn mower if you are
barefoot or wearing open shoes.
•
Carefully inspect the area where the lawn
mower is to be used and remove any
objects that can be thrown up.
•
Petrol is highly flammable and can be
explosive in certain circumstances.
